I would not hesitate to recommend N&L plumbing to anyone. I found Nigel by chance after he took out an advert in the NG5 circular and I have used him and his team countless times since. N&L are kind, honest, genuine, professional and highly knowledgable. Most importantly, they're trustworthy. Work always completed to a high standard and tailored to fit budget demands. Nigel is a fantastically nice bloke whom I am happy to invite into my home, he's funny and nice to have about whilst being damn good at his job too - he's a rare find. Nigel and his business partner fitted a new combi boiler at our house last week - a great job, minimum fuss, clean and tidy, competitive price, and very amiable chaps to deal with. Highly recommend them and wouldnt hesitate to use again. Thanks lads.

N&L PLUMBING&HEATING. 5 GOLD STARS FANTASTIC ~ VALUE ~ HONEST ~ HELPFUL ~ CARING Buying a new boiler or central system can be a costly affair. The internet is full of plumbers and central heating engineers. So without a recommendation, who do you use? The best looking webpage can be misleading! Also an engineer’s accreditation can be misleading. I telephoned numerous companies, sent out email requests for quotations, and eventually had six different heating engineers/plumbers visit my home. Quotes ranged from £3450 by British Gas to around £1,800 for a supply and fit of a new combi boiler. (I was looking for a Baxi or Worcester, with a stronger inclination towards a Worcester.) They all gave free quotations, and it was a chance to hear their sales pitch, but more importantly to assess their knowledge, attitude, and honesty. (You really can’t be too careful these days.) I now had a good idea of the true costs, British Gas was far too expensive at £3450, trying to sell me a cheap Baxi, and the other quotes ranged from £1,800 to £2500. The £2500 quote was for a Worcester Compact 32CDi, recommended by an accredited Worcester fitter, who was trying to oversell the product installing a boiler which was suitable for a 4 bed house with 2 bathrooms, when I have a 3 bed with one bathroom! I now had a clearer understanding about different boilers and costs, and who was being dishonest and greedy. Still searching and browsing the web I came across local heating engineers via the Yellow pages on the web, and saw N&L Plumbing & Heating. Nigel the proprietor of his family business, father & son, (and he has other employees too) returned my telephone call and agreed to visit me to give me a quote the very next morning. I liked his attitude. I liked his honesty. I liked the way he said, a.) this is the installation cost, b.) it’s up to you which boiler you use, and clearly explained the differences. Wow! At last I had found someone, caring, honest, a family man, that obviously took pride in his work, and was giving me a very reasonable quotation. I liked his honesty, and I liked his openness. For £2000, I now have had a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28CDi Compact Combi installed, complete with Worcester filter and Worcester II RF Warm Controls, and a 10 year guarantee. He also repaired the bleed valves on some old radiators and installed a brand new radiator in the bathroom, all included in the cost. When the radiators felt cold in the middle of the day I remembered his words. He had a women call him to say her new heating system had stopped working. The radiators where not hot. He said, is the house cold. She said no. The same thing has happened to me, although I didn’t need to telephone Nigel. The system is such, that as soon as the room temperatures reach their peak, the boiler switches off. As soon as the room temperature drops to below the settings, it comes back on again. These Worcester boilers have so many good reviews in the Which magazine it’s ridiculous. The system is fantastic. Nigel and Ross, his assistant had the old system out and the new one in within the day. I can’t say how happy both my wife and I am. I cannot highly recommend N&L Plumbing & Heating enough. There are good, honest, hardworking, and caring people in every walk of life, and in Nigel, that’s what we found. So this review is my BIG THANK YOU. Jeremy Wheeler Nottingham
