In June & July, Jake and his team repointed the front & side of Ladybarn Social Club, a former 1930's pub. It was a challeging job, both in terms of height and complexity of the joints, due to the mixture of Brick & Stone used in the construction and the size of the joints which varied between very large where stones had dropped over the past 100 years and long and deep ones with the width of less than a penny. Every joint, and I mean every joint was ground or chiselled out to a good depth, then refilled with good firm mortar with absolutly no smearing or discolouring of bricks or stone. Each Morter mix was identical in colour. Each night, the site was full cleaned down and everything secured meaning we could open safely. Before all the front internal walls were constantly damp, but now having had time to dry out, they are now bone dry - Jake is everything you need in a Tradesman - Polite, Trustworthy, Reliable and Knowledgeable.

Just had the front of the house pointed. A fantastic job was done, including some extra small jobs. Our house now looks so much better and the pointing really makes the most of the period features. Will be using Archer Brick and Stone again.

Jake made a fantastic job of our driveway. He was super friendly and easy to get on with, I loved hearing about his adventures. His quote was fantastic and he could get us in really fast. He worked through storm Dennis to get it finished for us and the driveway is even better than I imagined! He even went out his way with little finishing touches. I’ll be getting him back if we have any other jobs, I genuinely wish all tradesmen were like Jake, thank you so much 😊

Jake's work to extend our driveway (after a wall had been moved) was meticulous - we are absolutely delighted with the results. Jake took his time to check that we were happy with how the work was progressing and highlight any issues he found and provided options for resolution. He kept us constantly updated with what he was doing. We can highly recommend him and have since used him to undertake some pointing work. Thank you Jake - fantastic work!

Jake completed a large driveway project for us, which we understand involved moving 40 tonnes of earth. He fashioned brilliant custom-designed flower beds for us-he is a very skilled craftsman. He inclined the drive imperceptibly at various points to make the water flow off in exactly the right direction so that we have no problems with pooling of water even after very heavy rain. Overall, a very impressive result.
