My wife and I commissioned Arid to design a brand new house project in Bembridge, and to help advise on fundamental issues of construction and design. Chris and Adam were conscientious, imaginative, extremely hard-working, cost-conscious, collaborative and dedicated. Designing a new house holds many challenges. We are extremely lucky that Chris and Adam crossed our path - and we now have a superb house, in no small part due to their help and expertise.

Arid Design took on my house design and after making some really insightful design change suggestions made getting planning permission a virtually painless task. Their knowledge of the planning system is extremely thorough so we were able to discuss the art of the possible and get permission for everything we wanted in what could have been a tricky location. We continued to use Arid for much of the building control work and again we were very impressed with the attention to detail, quality and willingness to use modern construction techniques. This has been backed up with a lot of much needed practical advice for a first time self builder. I would not hesitate to use Arid again should I build another house.

We are doing our first Self-Build project & were a little unsure where to start. Chris has provided us with a great design and also liaised with Planning & Building Control on our behalf, as well as giving us plenty of advice which has made the process far easier!
