Each product you see in our store has been hand curated, crafted, or up cycled to ensure the highest possible quality. Traditional methods are used in our Faversham-based workshop throughout our production process, which ensures every Kitchen and piece of Furniture is unique. This is how we match our products to your décor perfectly, and something we pride ourselves on. Being hand crafted, every single piece of Furniture and Kitchen you see in our store and online can be customised exactly to your liking. Don’t like those specific handles, or would prefer the exact shade of grey you dreamed of? Not a problem! We’re well equipped with the skills and know-how to customise your product exactly how you envisioned it, to match your décor perfectly. We use locally, responsibly sourced materials where possible when hand-producing the products you see in our store. We pay fair prices for quality materials with unique stories. This not only acts as an incentive to local people to think about bringing materials to us to be up cycled to help the environment , but helps reduce the strain on council and waste-management resources.

We have a brand new kitchen from Compton's and are thrilled with it. They offer a wide range of options but all good quality and there's no hard sell as they always put our needs first and worked hard to achieve them. The local approach to labour and materials was appealing and the skills and customer service were excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Compton's.

We recently had a kitchen supplied and fitted by Comptons. We are very happy with it and the reclaimed worktops always get commented on.

Couldn't be happier with the made to measure unit that Comptons Furniture created for our kitchen extension. From great communication to excellent knowledge and craftsmanship, I highly raccomend their service. I will certainly use them again in the future.

I really regret having to commit to writing a review, however our experience with Crompton’s has been poor… if 2.5 stars was available then that is what I would have used. I always look to local Independents when seeking a bespoke fitting, and I really enjoyed the concept of working with a local family to get exactly what we wanted. I engaged with Crompton’s, originally popping into the shop and finally settling on a particular set of furniture from reclaimed oak. We paid a fair price, but it was not cheap… and we were very pleased with the proposed product. We waited a fair while, but again no longer than was comfortable, and we were not in a rush. The leg setup was not quite as we had agreed, however I was happy to let that pass without a mention. When delivered the plastic caps on the ends of the legs, however, were not all present … meaning that sharp metal edges were directly against our bamboo flooring. I was given reassurances that these would be supplied in due course. After a short time the table separated at the joins slightly and I had to raise the issue. It did take some time before there was a commitment to originally reviewing the situation, however with Covid and other factors considered this really wasn’t a problem for me. Eventually the table top was collected and returned after a fair period of time and it is looking very good. I cannot even recall when we first ordered the table and bench but it has been well over 2 years for certain - and here comes the dominant issue that I cannot accept. When they finally left, Crompton’s said they will sort out the plastic feet for the legs, and they would be sent direct to me. I left it a few weeks and emailed… no reply. I followed this up with countless further emails and then directly messaged the owners as I had their number. Despite a number of attempts through this method also I am still yet to receive any correspondence or the feet. I will not mention how much I spent on this product, but safe to say it is too much for a product that is still not sorted. Moreover the damage that has now been caused to our flooring due to the metal scraping from the obvious times furniture has to be moved is really upsetting. I can cope with time delays and products having to be put right, but I cannot abide customers being ignored… especially when I have been so very patient throughout. I am very disappointed to be honest… and as is evident from my history of reviewing I do not complain. This had to be done. UPDATE FOLLOWING RESPONSE Once again I find myself compelled to provide further information to warn prospective customers. Firstly the dishonesty. It was not just emails that I sent it was WhatsApp messages direct to the owner of the company, which were read and never responded to. Secondly, no feet ever arrived, and furthermore I note it is over a month since the response and still no feet. Not sure how Google reviewing works but I received no auto update to say there had been a response to my review. I don’t have the time to find out whether this is something the responder elects. With the other issues I had experienced with the table would it not be prudent to have followed up to ensure the feet had arrived, and perhaps even arranged to come and fit due to the cost of the product in the first place? The table must weigh in excess of 50kg, so should a customer have to assemble a bespoke product of this nature, cost and weight? As for it being my responsibility to chase up the company after all the chasing I had already had to do, that is an unfair suggestion and one that definitely does not focus on customer service. Final point. The response to my review says it all…. Was there a call to me following my review to resolve? Absolutely not … demonstrating that the resolution to issues customers experience is far down the list from the false reputation desired. It saddens me that I had to commit yet again to more narrative, when I do not ever feel the need usually. This was out of necessity to protect prospective customers
