Andrew Dewhurst is the most thorough, professional and hard-working surveyor you will ever find. Both very detailed and very clear and easy to understand. Could not recommend more highly, either for a standard survey, or for very complex issues. Exceptional. (This based on over 20 years experience of his work.)

Hired as a party wall surveyor as our neighbour is doing an extension. James came with a personal recommendation, and while our first and only conversation with him was pleasant, it has gone down hill since. Doesn't response anywhere near promptly to emails, doesn't return phone calls. Frankly we felt our concerns have been brushed off. No discussion beyond the initial meeting on the award. Months go by with no communication, and then suddenly we are sent the award, despite being told there would be discussion before it was issued. Basic problems including the fact that drawings not included with the award. Weeks and no response to our follow-up requesting the drawings. Further follow-up greeted with an out-of-office (annual leave) notice.

The lateness of the completed report. The manor in which my urgent requests and attempts to contact Andrew Dewhurst via email were unanswered for weeks. The subsequent issue of the report in the middle of the night. The grammatical errors in the report. The lack of content promised by the report. Thier inability to offer me any explanation or recompense. I would NOT recommend CONGREVE HONER LLP

Quick to take your money and painfully slow to provide anything of any value once they have it. Experts at shirking responsibility and omitting key truths in their dealings with you. Amongst the comedy of errors made when we moved into our new build flat surveyed by Congreve Horner was that they had put in insufficient line plants to service all 6 new flats to provide internet access. This left us without internet access for 6 months while John Hession from Congreve avoided all responsibility and did nothing to help. 2 years into living in Congreve Horner's 'new build' flats, we had to arrange an urgent quote for repair of a now dilapidated front porch. Congreve Horner treated it with zero urgency and when they finally got back with a single quote months later, it was four times the amount of the three quotes I found in 20 minutes online. I have honestly never encountered such incompetence and felt compelled to create a google account purely to write this review. Please please please avoid at all costs.

Very professional company. Have dealt with them on numerous occasions on various different matters (Building Survey, Party Wall and repairs and maintenance). Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Pricing is fair and reasonable.
