Allibell1 StarWould not touch this company with a barge poll ! They signed our roof off without checking the revised roof plans the original owner had put through. No checks to make sure that it was structurally sound or put in properly. When we got in contact with them to explain the situation they said in an email it was not their job to check everything ! Basma Atassi1 StarNever in my life have I been upset enough at a company to write a negative review- but Cook Brown crossed the threshold. They wasted my time and charged for it. They are clueless and very rude. In fact our borough council upon hearing that Cook Brown were not approving our wall removal plan, recommended I reach out to Construction Industry Council (CIC) to ensure Cook Brown surveyors get training around how mist systems work, read literature and learn how to do due diligence by actually reaching out to the manufacturer to learn more about their products and educate themselves around fire safety. Instead they wasted my time as I scrambled to get them information and look up research to let them understand that our plan was compliant with building regulations. They also asked me to call the Council to see if the plan is OK and the feedback from the council was that Cook Brown need to do their research not call the council. Cook Brown suggested ridiculous plans that would have cost us thousands more pounds than what we had already paid for the fire system to ensure compliance. When we ended the relation with them they charged an admin fee of 100 + VAT. Our borough council officer approved our plan without any drama. Do yourself a favor and work directly with the council surveyors who are efficient, knowledgeable and honest people.Wednesday 7th October 2020
