Highly recommend this company. We dealt with Elaina and from start to finish she was amazing from the design of our kitchen all the way through to installation. Professional attention to detail excellent customer service. Elaina was recommended to me by a friend who had also had a kitchen installed. All the staff at Designer kitchen were impeccable I can not thank them enough for our beautiful kitchen .

We asked for a practical working kitchen and help with refurbishing the next door dining room and utility room. It was a big job including bifold doors and a new flat roof with two velux roof windows. Shown computer generated arrangement of units. Encouraged to buy new appliances but refused- don't like gratuitous waste or expense. We said plan should include existing appliances. Fitters arrived and kitchen was gutted down to bare uneven concrete floor under hated ceramic tiles- in December. We should have been advised to retain one of the old wooden worktops, as temporary, while we waited for bespoke one to be fitted- had to make do with hardboard. They then racked up extras like they were going out of fashion, left us for weeks with no kitchen and treated Christmas eve like a bank holiday- no work! I just wanted my new kitchen fitted! They refused to level the floor down and wanted to pour in gallons of self levelling cement. Husband and I spent hours hacking at floor lumps. Installed laminate flooring which is, despite assurances, NOT suitable for kitchens and is now swollen, lumpy and cracked with water damage. Planed down back door so much so we could see light from outside around the edge of it. Fitted the bifold doors crooked so they had to be refittted again later. Fitted cheapest under-cabinet strip lights at the back of the underside of cabinets so they don't actually light up the work surface at all; one retaining bracket was broken and 'fixed' with gaffer tape and one light had no end-cap so our son got an electric shock when he touched it. Lights all different sizes so impossible to keep a spare bulb handy. Our freezer did not fit an alcove despite assurances that it would and was left sitting in the middle of the kitchen; do. the fridge which we had asked to be accomodated within the run of units. Fitters left with the job unfinished but with several thousand pounds of extras money in their pockets. They asked to alter things which we did not want altering and then charged us for them. They installed a suspended ceiling which we had not asked for and had not been mentioned. When the fitters left they did not take any of the rubbish with them. I cleared much to the dump and had to call the company and ask them to come and move the rest including all the bags of rock-hard cement. The flat roof was quoted by a 'mate from Canvey Island' and did not include any insulation. When we insisted, it delayed the job another couple of weeks as the roofer 'boss' was away skiing at the time. When it was fianlly done it was laid on old roof and the old guttering was left in situ so now the water flows over the guttering into the back passage which has become green and slippery. The plumbing/ heating guy came and removed our heated towel rail and left it outside to rust- no-one took care of it. I think they expected us to buy everything new. I had to ask him to fit insulation to the underfloor heating pipes, to prevent them losing heat to the soil under the house, but I had to go and buy it. A new back door was fitted but it was fitted inside out so now the two panes of the double glazing are almost permanently misted up inside. I now believe that Essex men are incapable of designing a working kitchen, probably because they never work in one; and two of the planet's worst fitters/ best bodgers come from Hertfordshire. Project was ably mismanaged by Mark Rainbow.

A huge thank you to the team at Designer Kitchens for their help in designing our dream kitchen. We actually redesigned the whole house so it was an overwhelming experience. From our first meeting with Elaina the pressure subsided. Ultra professional with a huge knowledge of different designs and materials. All we knew is that we wanted a modern kitchen! She talked us through the whole process and gave us an array of options. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond. She even helped us with our colour scheme for the rest of the house! The fitting team were phenomenal and everything was finished ahead of schedule. Excellent!

Very helpful staff. We made appointment online and then went to the store at designated time. The store was neat and clean. The staff greeted us with tea and coffee and then walked through our requirement. Then they showed us different options and colors combination. They also allowed us to carry a sample for us to review at home. Now we are waiting for the design which is due in 2 weeks. Hopefully we like the design and price and take it forward.
