The name of the Company derives from Walter Fernie Greaves who led the original partnership with distinction in the immediate post war years until the late 1960’s. It is reputed that his middle name came from his family ancestral home, Fernie Castle in Fife, Scotland. The name continues to be maintained as a major representation of the present and an important link with the past.
During the last 150 years Fernie Greaves have been intrinsically linked with the economy and businesses of Sheffield and the surrounding conurbations. It has witnessed the turbulent periods of the Sheffield and Rotherham steel industries from the boom during the industrial revolution to the economic depression in the 1980’s. To this day, it continues its close links with the region.

karl weatherall1 StarVery poor service and would agree with some of the other comments posted. In our experience Fernie Greaves have not been good when dealing with queries and issues raised. An example would be an issue that was raised 8 months ago but is still unresolved. Poor communication and the general feeling is that they do very little (if anything) for the tenant once a lease is signed.Friday 12th February 2021
Soran Sadik1 StarThe worse agency that you could ever deal with, they are nightmares and only nice to you while you are doing the deal with them, then they ignore you for the rest of you life. Outstanding repairs for over 8 months now, lack of safety in the property including really dangerous items. I would never recommend them for any business at all.
Never trust anything they say at the beginning cos it is all lies, they will sweet and nice to you until you sign up then will laugh at you ......Friday 19th April 2019
David A1 StarI would avoid this company at all costs! Wasted a lot of time trying to arrange taking on a lease. We thought everything was good to go, but then when we started asking questions regarding a few things we was told that someone else was in negotiations with the landlord regarding taking on the lease, and that we should put in a bid against the other person. (Not getting into a BIDDING WAR sorry) We was told at the viewing that there hadn't been any other interest. Feeling quite upset about wasting 3 weeks of our time, We asked why we hadn't been told about this, got no reply. Put in a complaint, got no reply. If this is how they treat people regarding trying to lease a property, then all the landlords must be losing out letting there properties with their stupid games. Id avoid!Friday 5th May 2017
