Used Marcel a few times in recent years but he’s too hit and miss. Sometimes he’s helpful and does a good job and at other times he’s just rude and cantankerous.
If he hasn’t retired yet, he needs to.
I also tried a couple of his “recommended” builders (in fairness, they’re not his employees but self-employed tradesmen that he recommends). One did a small job for me but was rude and dismissive when my girlfriend got him round to quote on a major full-house refurb.
I wasted an enormous amount of time with another of his recommended builders who agreed to undertake a big project for me, but then completely ghosted me when we were waiting to start construction. After pleading with him several times to just get in touch and let me know where we stood, I finally had to give up and find someone else. It’s a shame because he seemed like a very nice chap and we have plenty of projects going on. Unfortunately I’ve had to give them all to other builders.
As far as actual structural engineers go, we’re now using Stuart Williams of Ansaw Ltd. Much easier to work with. Very professional and has completed every job with zero fuss.
As you’ll see from other reviews, I’m not the only unhappy client. Give this clown a miss.Thursday 7th October 2021
