Our Managing Director, Ian Henderson, has particular expertise in understanding and advising on property disputes and specialises in dilapidations on commercial property. Ian regularly presents cpd events for The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) on the subject and receives appointments as an Expert as well as Arbitrator in commercial disputes on dilapidations. Ian also has extensive experience in undertaking pre-purchase and pre-lease surveys as well as managing, specifying and administering the maintenance, repair, alteration and refurbishment of commercial, industrial and historic buildings.

Ian Henderson has carried out two surveys for me over the past year and I would highly recommend his services as both surveys have been incredibly detailed. On top of the Ian has been incredibly generous in taking the time to talk through the surveys after they have been delivered to explain and elaborate on his findings.

I cannot recommend Ian Henderson enough. The service, from the initial contact to the report, were professional, punctual, thorough and without flaw. I have employed him twice, both times opting for the most extensive survey, and both on properties that required a lot of work. The level of detail that is given to you is above and beyond what I expected. He answered questions after the survey was done and was easy to contact, (something other companies are not, according to the Google reviews I read of ones in my area.) If you are new to the process, this is important as it can hold up your purchase, and in turn, the chain. The reports I had done came with recommendations for what remedial work would need doing, and cost estimates. There is a comprehensive breakdown of each area of the house, with photos, helping you make an informed decision before purchasing. Absolutely no complaints. Thoroughly recommended.

I was highly satisfied with the service that I received from Ian at Henderson Surveying Ltd. He was swift and courteous in returning my initial call and was able to talk through my options in a way that was clear and helpful to me. The survey itself was booked in very easily and Ian undertook a thorough survey which was sent out to me in what I felt was an extremely impressive time-frame. The report itself was detailed and thorough, and clear to understand. Subsequent to the receipt of the survey (and indeed payment for it), Ian continued to be extremely helpful and professional, offering us detailed information and advice pertaining to the results of the searches on our prospective property. The level of information that he provided suggested an excellent attention to detail when he attended the property to conduct the survey, and we were very grateful both for the level of this detail as well as the swiftness of his response.
