Huge thanks to Warick, Carl, Kerry and everyone else at Homefit UK for an outstanding bathroom refurbishment carried out on my Barn Conversion recently. From the start of the design process, they were superb. We had detailed discussions about the specifications and detailing of the project. A couple of meetings were held at their showroom near Pocklington which allowed me to view a number of the different bathroom options which are showcased there. Nothing was too much trouble, I was talked through different options and the implications of different types and styles of bathroom. Once decisions had been made, a date was set and Carl, their fitter arrived to make a start on the project. The service he gave was second to none. He was very professional, polite, courteous and extremely tidy throughout the week. Once completed the bathroom was checked over by Warick and everything was signed off. From start to finish the process was absolutely seamless and carried out with the upmost professionalism. Homefit have achieved an outstanding quality bathroom for my home . I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family. They have with a large team of extremely professional fitters whilst still managing to retain the service levels, values and personal touch of a caring family business. Thankyou so much Homefit !

Gave us a quote, and then stopped all communication. Called once and email twice but no one got back to me. Wouldn’t bother contacting them again for any other work.

Would not recommend We used HomeFit for a recent en-suite renewal with the idea that they were a professional “complete home solutions” company, however we would not use them again. Throughout the project we had issues which caused more stress than we had hoped for, making what was already going to be a disruptive job even worse. From the start, the staff appeared to have no regard for the fact that they were in our home rather than a building site. The doors were slammed continually and damage was caused to the paintwork on our stairs by what sounded like a tool bag or rubbish bag being thrown down from one floor to another. We were told that “these things happen” - but these things *shouldn’t* happen if people appreciate that they’re working in your home. After the damage to the paintwork we then discovered that dirt had been trodden into a nearly new carpet causing a ‘crusty stain’, and then equipment had been scuffed across a new white bed frame causing many deep black scuffs. In HomeFit’s defence (and the reason they gained two stars back) they paid for a decorator to rectify the paintwork, a carpet cleaner to clean the stained carpet and bought a new bed frame - but the point is that these things should not happen. When it came to the actual work, we had to ask them to replace some of the new tiling several times over as it simply was not right. The grout lines were obviously wonky (both in the sense they weren’t straight and that they went from 3mm-7mm within the space of two tiles), the surface finish was at points 10mm out of level with other parts on the same wall, and the cut edges resembled a saw blade as the cuts were so rough, as well as chipped and damaged tiles having being hung and left on the wall. When this was pointed out to them they told us it’s “not that bad”, and asked us what they should do about it - when surely the obvious solution would be to simply save face and rectify the errors. To ensure we were not simply being picky we invited an independent professional tiler to look at the work, and their description was that it was an average-ish DIY attempt - by no means the level of a professional company. After several rectification visits the suite was fitted, resulting in a towel rail that had not been filled, and that was only hand tight on the radiator valves. The unit was also only secured fully by three out of four fixing points. The shower had several remedial visits as it persistently leaked - from behind the tiles and around the frame. This turned out that it had not been sealed against the wall or correctly to the tray when it was fitted. Since completion I have also now noticed that the isolation valve for the toilet has been boxed into the tiling, so there is no access to switch off the water supply if we ever have an issue. In hindsight we wish that we had spent our £5000 elsewhere, and we may have then ended up with the bathroom that we were looking for in the first place.
