Good ranges of items, found what we wanted easily and plenty to choose from. Helpful and friendly staff throughout the shop. Nice atmosphere in the place too which was good. Will be going back here again without a doubt.

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel so angry that I feel I need to. I went into Homebase Newmarket clearly on a mission for a tool I needed, carrying a very heavy toddler and just needing to run in and out. I asked a woman (member of staff) where to find it and rather than just taking me there to show me or getting it for me, she told me where to go-that was fine. I went to the area she told me to go and I couldn’t find it. I clearly didn’t know the store and again was carrying a very heavy child. Not that it matters but my son doesn’t like going in a trolley so rather than listening to him having a screaming fit just to get one tool, I thought it be best to carry him in a store where he could get into a lot of mischief and again, was hoping to be quickly in and out. So I went to find the woman again and asked her to show me where it was and she told me she needed to get rid of some recycling first before she helped me. She finally did come to show me where it was but I couldn’t believe the complete lack of consideration from her. First of all, is it not the job of staff members to help customers before any other job? And second, this woman must not have children or grandchildren if she thinks it’s easy to carry a toddler around a huge shop whilst looking for something!! I feel really disappointed because I’ve always had great customer service in there and maybe the woman just wasn’t thinking, but all I needed was a bit of help to make things easier since I had my son with me. Kindness goes a long way.

Easy to park close to the store (weekday mid morning). Staff were friendly and helpful, everything I needed was in stock (as per online stock check), situated on the edge of town so no nasty traffic issues. Prices were reasonable and the quality of the products I looked at was certainly not bad, I have seen a great deal worse in some national stores.
