Jamie at Insul Hub has been a great help with all of my questions about my build right from the start.
I have used there insulated raft foundation system and I am very pleased with the results.
The blocks are great and easy to lay it is very self explanatory and easy to pick up. The blocks can be cut very easily with a power saw or Alligator saw which can be picked up second hand. I have had to do very few cuts of blacks as the building was planed around the block size, but any cuts are quick and easy to do. The building is progressing at a good speed even though I am working by my self.

Gareth Hunt5 StarI ordered Isotex blocks after seeing them at one of the House Building and Renovation shows.
I'm so pleased I did. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the product, unfortunately due to coronavirus restrictions I couldn't have the free training but my rep, Andy, was always on hand by email and phone for any questions I had.
But once I received the blocks it was really really simple and straightforward. I was building a large extension to my home. It took myself and a friend, neither of us are brick layers, one week to put down all of the blocks required.
It sounds too good to be true, but it isnt. It really is as easy as they say it is. Plus you then get the fun of filling the walls up with concrete from a pump!!
The savings I have achieved by using Isotex blocks over conventional construction blocks really does stretch into the thousands of pounds once the cost of labour and insulation are factored in.
