Richard Palmer carried out the survey on a property we are buying, and the whole experience was seamless and efficient. Mr Palmer was so easy to speak to. The report he produced was extremely comprehensive and detailed, and written so as to be easy to understand.The turn around was impressive, being received by email the day after the survey had been carried out, with a hard copy in the post the day after that. I would absolutely highly recommend James Aldridge, and would have no qualms about using their services again should the need arise.

I have used many surveyors over the years since I starting buying houses. But I have to say that James Aldridge Surveyors has to be the best one I have used so far. From start to finish, it has been such a smooth process. With a lot of surveyors I have used, I simply get sent the survey by email so I end up having to print if off myself. With James Aldridge Surveyors, you get an email copy for your records but you also get posted a brochure containing the house survey report which is nicely bounded together. The report is perfectly laid out, easy to follow and explained in a way that is not confusing to even people who have never bought a house before. But the main reason I am writing this review is to highlight the brilliant customer service I have received from Mr Richard Palmer who was the surveyor that attended the property I was looking to purchase. After being sent the report, I needed to speak to Richard as I had a few questions. He explained everything to me with clear clarification and offered me much more advice that he needed to. He assured me on many things which made me feel much better and relaxed about my purchase. I did call Richard twice and on both occasions, he reassured me that my calls to him were never a problem and I could call whenever I needed to. That's what I call 5 STAR SERVICE. I wouldn't think twice about using James Aldridge Surveyors again. They are worth every penny!!!

Richard Palmer conducted a fantastic survey for our new home in Colchester, and went well beyond his duty to assist us when problems with the roof were discovered. He was always on the end of the phone any time we had a question (and we had a lot!), making a difficult sale much more manageable. Highly recommended, and James Aldridge would certainly be our first choice next time.

I instructed James Aldridge to undertake a hike buyers survey which was carried out by Mr Palmer. The report was well drafted, comprehensive and easy to read. The report was emailed within 24 hours and a hard copy was with me within 48 hrs The accompanying letter noted that if I had any queries I could contact their office. The survey had flagged points of concern and I wished to discuss this with Mr Palmer. He called my back the same day and explained his concerns and possible implication of what he had identified. He followed our discussion with an email and provided additional photos. I cannot commend Mr Palmer enough with his careful and though examination of my prospective purchase had flagged an issues which If not liked into and possibly remedied, would have long lasting and expensive consequences for me. I would recommend this firm
