Before you employ the professional services of any business or individual, you will need to see proof of their credentials to ensure they can deliver the results you require and also for peace of mind in case things should go wrong. So why choose K2 Surveyors? We hold a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)  Operational Authorisation (OA) to Pre-Defined Risk Assessment 01 (PDRA01) for operating a drone in the Specific Category. The Specific Category covers operations that present a greater risk than that of the Open Category, or where one or more elements of the operation fall outside the boundaries of the Open Category (see our FAQ page). We also hold a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Operational Authorisation for an Operating Safety Case (OSC) for Reduced Separation Distances while using a multi-rotor drone. This permission allows us to take-off and land as close as 5m and fly as close as 10m from uninvolved People, Vessels, Vehicles and Structures not under the control of the Remote Pilot. This permission is currently only held by approximately 1% of all the CAA Approved UAS Operators in the UK.  Being Specialist Roofing Surveyors and Consultants as well as a CAA Approved Drone Operator means we are also able to speedily analyse the captured imagery and data in-house to provide detailed Visual Condition Reports including recommendations and measured take-offs. This means you only need to employ our services, saving you time and money.

We asked K2 Surveyors to carry out a detailed roof inspection of a property we were buying after concerns raised from a home-buyers survey. The report provided incredible detail with photos and notes that allowed us to make an informed decision about whether to proceed with the property at the agreed price. Phil has been an absolute star in helping me sort out a problem with a large flat roof that has gone wrong. I was very worried that roofers would just cut holes and make changes without understanding the science, proper regulations and calculations. Phil has both the experience and a grasp of the numbers and calculations to make sure the real problem is identified. I could not recommend him more highly. Worth utilising his services before simply blindly making changes, which might not work.

Phil provided a really clear and understandable report for the house we are hoping to buy. He made clear recommendations that were marked red/amber/green with comments against each. All additional photos were made accessible with out issue. I really liked how Phil used a range of techniques to get access to the roof and even has the use of a drone if needs be.
