adrian vaughan5 StarAfter our shower door exploded we asked our plumber to fit a replacement. A month later nothing so we contacted LEWKEN who turned up that day gave us a good value quote that we accepted . The enclosure has been ordered and will be fitted within a week.

Giles At Home Care1 Starcontacted about replacing the heating element for my hot water immersion heater. Not a difficult job and was told that the costs were £62.50 per half hour + VAT. Obviously any parts would be an additional expense. When they turned up I was told that the minimum call out was for 1 hour so £125.00 + VAT would be the minimum charge.
I explained to the plumber that this was not what I had been quoted and he phoned the office and I spoke to owner, who was the person who had originally quoted. His response was that 1 hour was the minimum when I questioned why he quoted by the half hour his response was rude and abrasive " if you're not happy I'll tell them to pack up and leave, we've got plenty of business"
I'll leave everyone to draw their own conclusions, (the plumber who turned was polite and professional ) but I would recommend getting another quote from another business. Customer service and manners cost nothing. Dassier Arnaud1 StarLewken took 1100 pounds to repair our heating system. They left pieces on the floor like the work was not finished but never came back. Very probably as a consequence of the unfinished work, the water boiler system did not work anymore and we had to take cold showers. We had several appointements to which they did not come (no show). We had to find another profesional who took us 100 pounds to finish the job in less than an hour.Friday 13th May 2022
