Darwin is well worth the wait, I had got prices from 4 tarmac contractors and Darwin was the only one to suggest removing all the old tarmac and putting down a base layer and then a top layer. All the other contractors were going to put a layer over the top of the existing tarmac. Darwin came around 8 in the morning and the drive was completed around 5, all old tarmac dug up removed, small section of garden removed and kerb concreted in, base layer and top layer of tarmac laided. Darwin and his men done a great job, tarmac is lovely and smooth with a good fall to let the rain run off. My driveway was left clean and tidy and the front of my house has been tidied up with this fresh tarmac drive

In February 2020 I contacted Darwin regarding a quotation for Tarmac surfacing to my driveway. Prompt attention was given to my enquiry and after a few measurements were taken Darwin supplied me with a quotation for my consideration. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus put the proposal on the long finger. However, in August I decided to proceed with the proposed work and advised Darwin accordingly. At the beginning of September 2020 Darwin gave me two days notice, which was invaluable for my wife and myself to make necessary preparations. On Monday, 7 September 2020, Darwin arrived on schedule with his workforce. I sat back and admired the methodical way progress was made in a most professional manner. The workforce were well organised and drilled and knew each step that had to be taken prior to the laying of the surfacing material. Darwin was very much hands-on and set an example which, in my opinion, was most complimentary. Everything went like clockwork, clearly displaying the organisation behind the job at hand. It was a real tonic to observe at first hand the skill displayed and the co-ordination and co-operation manifest. The Tarmac was laid to give an excellent finish, with particular care taken relative to gulleys and a manhole as well as work required at the Garage door and also the entrance gates. Was I pleased with the final result? I was delighted with the work executed for the price previously quoted by Darwin. I would highly recommend Darwin and if you have a proposal in mind look no further for he will ensure that you will get a job finished to the highest of standards and one that will enhance the look and value of your property. The workmanship was fine, the guys on site were a pleasure to have around the house and all timeliness were adhered to. However this was offset by a failure to make good any snags, after invoice payment.... Over six months later and despite phone calls and texts and "ASAP" assurances I still await a satisfactory response. Gary Reddick
