DO NOT BUY A MORRIS HOME. The standard of finish is absolutely appalling - the internal walls are well out of square, the paintwork (walls and skirting boards) is full of drips, the paint on the skirting turns yellow quickly and the surface of the skirting is as rough as sandpaper as if they painted then immediately swept up. None of the the radiators were level, some leaked, and there was a huge hole behind one! Woodwork doesn't join up (the staircase is atrocious), the kitchen floor was not level, the upstairs floor creaks badly, and the door hinge cut outs look like they were done with an axe. Many of my neighbours have had water leaks, with one having a ceiling fall through as a consequence. My built in wardrobe was built variously onto bare floorboard, gripper strips and carpet - with the predictable consequence that the levels were all out of square and I ended up having the rip the whole thing out and scrap it. The trades who assemble these houses are clearly incompetent, rushed, and don't care about quality - I received my house with a phone number SCRATCHED into the brickwork by one of the builders! There were 14 site managers in the time from when I reserved until after I had the house about 6 months, while the estate was still well under construction - with no continuity between them. The customer care is a joke. If they ever turn up half the time they don't know how to or won't fix problems, and the other half their competence is very limited and/or in fixing one problem they create another. The attitude of the management is disgusting. They don't care whatsoever that their product is terrible and if you complain they ignore you, and are perfectly happy to lie if convenient to them, and if you sue they defend aggressively and their lawyers are just as happy to lie to you as Morris Homes are. DO NOT BUY A MORRIS HOME.

Unhelpful, generally unprofessional and difficult to deal with Failure to maintain apartment building, customer service unhelpful, generally unprofessional and difficult to deal with. Quality of materials in luxury apartment were high, but installation was sloppy, rushed, and aftercare was poor. At one point a kitchen cupboard panel came loose and hit me on the head, as it had been poorly glued into place rather than fastened. Have had to bring in my own tradesmen to deal with issues, but it would be much nicer if a Residents' Management Company (RMC) was setup as the lease dictated, that way we'd never have to deal with Morris Homes again. If you're going to buy from Morris Homes, all you need to remember is this, it'll never get better than the buying experience.

Morris homes was good when I first bought the house, now I have issues with water damage and on going issues they're not interested and have not fixed the issues. nhbc contacted them in August and now it's November and still no word from them. Issues never fixed and nhbc never really tried to get them to fix it either. Definitely won't be recommending a new build by them
