AVOID !! - I got the homebuyer’s survey from Prinsegate for a new property I purchased. Their communication is non-existent so I would avoid it at all cost. Every time I called into the office, the person on the phone could never answer any questions. I was always told that “someone” will call me back which never happened. This always happened. The emails go unanswered too. There also does not seem to any communication internally. On the day of survey, I was told the surveyor could not attend the survey but was later told that the survey did in fact take place? The report is very generic. As part of their “package” apparently you can book call with the surveyor to follow up and go over their findings. I followed this up multiple times via call and emails. This never happened. I would AVOID Prinsegate and rather pay few quid extra to get a decent surveyor. I regret choosing them. Do not make same mistake as me by going for headline price they are offering. Buying a house is possibly one the biggest transaction you will undertake and I now regret choosing Prinsegate for looking to save few pounds on their report. Save yourself the hassle and avoid these guys. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you when you come back to give your own review 😊

Complete waste of money. You pay for 95% template standard text, and the 5% they have taken the time to complete is what we saw during the viewing of the house (there are cracks in the wall, the house is made of bricks, the roof has tiles…). At least they took photos of what they saw. I’d recommend you find a professional outfit that is willing to make an effort and actually provide a value adding service.

Terrible experience so far. Survey conducted on 20th April and told max 4 business days to receive my report. It’s 04th May and still no sign of report. My email messages through online account have been unanswered. I call daily and reception takes my details and says will pass message on with urgency to the team but no one calls back. Every day I call and go through the same routine with no callback or update. If the report is delayed for some reason someone should call and give a new ETA rather thank keeping client waiting. Will update this review with the date I receive the much anticipated report..

Honestly very impressed with how swiftly our survey report was compiled. Within a week of contacting the company, our report was compiled with great communication throughout. David, the building surveyor went the extra mile by allowing us to talk through specific concerns we wanted examined in the survey report and understood our situation so was able to update us with speed. We really appreciated the personal touch offered. Thanks a bunch, would definitely recommend again.

Definitely would not recommend them. The full structural survey failed to make any mention of lower ground external door, which was rotten. also they did not flag up the additional significant costs of assessing the rebuild cost - which was essential in order to obtain buildings insurance. Long report but 95% standard cut and paste, some of which did not apply.
