Simon and his team were simply brilliant, especially in such challenging conditions of the pandemic, material shortages and delays with deliveries, etc. Every one was very hard working, conscientious, friendly and very professional. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, beautiful, well designed and built with highest quality. We could always discuss our preferences in detail and come to a common decision about any changes or alterations. Always punctual, considerate and perceptive of our living conditions while the extension was going on, we didn't feel much the process, as it was mostly smooth and very efficient day to day. Simon is an excellent communicator and very respectful to every detail always trying to make sure we are happy even though often it may not have been easy at all. They never complained or judged but always listened, discussed and implemented our ideas and decisions with great care to detail and utmost professionalism. We cannot praise enough the whole team. At the end we felt that we gained friends for life, in addition to an amazing modern extension that we still sometimes can't believe is ours.

Really pleased with the extension. Its perfect. Simon and the team worked hard and kept us informed through the build stages. They also had a good relationship with the neighbours and were considerate while they were building. Highly recommend.

We first used SM Construction in 2006 when we had a two storey extension built. The work was excellent and we were so happy that, when we decided to remove the wall between our dining room and kitchen, SM Construction were our first and only choice to do the work. Nothing is too much trouble for Simon and his team. They are always on time, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Simon always communicates well and kept us up to date on progress. As other reviewers have said, Simon makes sure you are totally happy with all aspects of the work, from beginning to completion. We cannot recommend Simon and SM Construction too highly.

We are regular customers of Simon’s having used his services three times over the last 15 years, there isn’t any part of my house that has not been renovated by Simon and his friendly team. I go back to Simon because the quality of his work is outstanding, and he is not happy until you are. Before the work begins you’ll know exactly what you are getting, when the work will start and you get regular updates by email throughout, so that you know what is coming next and to make sure you are happy with progress. Any issues that arise, or if anything is not quite right, Simon will put it right without a second thought. He will not leave until you are happy with the work completed. This time Simon turned our dark cold cellar into a lovely warm living space - it is like having had a modern extension at a fraction of the price. Simon and his team did a dormer window and split an existing attic space into 3 bedrooms for us. We are beyond pleased with the finished result it is done to a very high standard and it has made our home complete and our children now have their own space. They were very punctual and nothing was too much trouble even though i changed the plans slightly at the beginning Simon was happy to go through what i wanted. The guys were friendly, polite and respectful and they kept the work space very clean and tidy. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thanks again
