Lack of communication with updates however were quick to fix once contacted. Unfortunately not many surveyors available and when fallen sick, delayed the survey. Communication could have been better to manage expectations of myself, my solicitor and the sellers.

Again like most of the others i had an awful experience with the SDL Valuation report. They provided figures for Rental Income for an unfurnished property despite it been a show house that was fully furnished to a very high standard. The value provided was 25% below the market value for similar properties which were not show houses and finished to a lower spec. They say they are professional but they just hide behind the title. DO NOT USE THEM

Carried out a lender valuation on behalf of our buyers mortgage provider. Grossly undervalued the property, failing to take into account local area specifics or internal improvements carried out. All they did was add on the HPI increase onto our original purchase price, the figures match exactly to those available online so this is not a coincidence. Appalling and cost us our sale and subsequent purchase. Surveyor admitted he was not from the local area so no understanding of property in the area nor the quality of the property in relation to others in the area, and to top things off, was over 3 hours late.

I had a surveyor do a valuation at my property yesterday for my buyer. The surveyor was professional, friendly and very polite. I was extremely anxious after reading all the negative reviews that my house would be down valued, but alas no! My buyers have paid over the asking price for my house and the surveyor has valued it at the exact same amount. I'm so pleased and grateful for SDL. Thank you.

I recently obtained a survey report from this company. I was truly shocked and amazed at the incompetence of the surveyor. If it were not for the photographs they attached I would seriously doubt that they had actually attended the property. The report contained numerous lies and unsubstantiated claims. As just one example of the incomprehensible level of incompetence displayed, the surveyor claimed that the property faces North West. It actually faces South. This should give you an indication of the lack of professionalism encountered. This fallacious report resulted in the withdrawing of a mortgage offer and the additional costs of hiring a competent professional to address one of the lies contained in this report. One star is a very generous rating but I am unable to give zero rating that this company deserves.
