Spent over £1000 getting new doors and some new carcasses to revive our old kitchen. Their initial fitter couldn't move any slower if he tried. Talk about relaxed. He did a half decent job installing what he needed to. We had our builder install the carcasses and the doors. When the doors arrived the recesses for the door hinges had been drilled incorrectly. On phoning John at Silva to get him to come and view the problem his initial response was that it was my fault as "i'd tried to do this on the cheap"....unbelievable!! When he looked at the issue he advised that it must have been set up incorrectly in the jig at their workshop. The solution.....turn the doors around and drill new holes. He would provide caps for the now redundant recesses on the other side of the door. Poor show. He never turned up with the caps for the holes. Cornice we ordered was never delivered. We chased it several times but all we got from John was that Silva was struggling and had financial issues and probably wouldn't be trading much longer. This was 3 years ago, so still going strong today. Having already paid in full up front, I had to source the cornice myself off the internet, pay for it again, and fit it myself. I wouldn't go near this tin-pot outfit. Very unprofessional and very poor standard of workmanship and service.
