I’m a multi skilled bathroom fitter based in York, and I have been fitting bathrooms in the Yorkshire region since the early 2000s. I grew up in York, and as the son of a builder I was brought up with a proud tradition in the trades. I really enjoy my job as I love meeting new people and working with them to provide them with a bathroom to suit their needs, taste and budget. I also take a real pride in my work and enjoy putting the last finishing touches to a beautiful bathroom that you know someone is going to love for years to come. Most people find that the process of having their bathroom refitted is much easier if they only have to deal with one person throughout the project, as trying to get a plumber, plasterer, joiner and tiler to all come in the right time and order can soon turn into a lot of stress and extra cost, not to mention a lot of extra time with your bathroom out of commission! As I can do everything needed for your project from start to finish including plumbing, plastering, joinery and tiling, I will save you time, money and stress.

Steve turned my semi vision for a new ensuite into reality + a refit of downstairs WC & hallway tiling. Very professional, great quality work and easy to talk to. Left the workspace tidy and where there were options, included me in the decision process. Very reasonably priced and I love the end result. Would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Steve highly enough. He is incredibly professional. Steve is always easy to get hold of and returns calls promptly. His estimates of costings and timescales are accurate and reliable. Steve is very considerate of privacy when working in the family home and he is respectful of the individual needs of family members, including pets! Steve’s workmanship is first-class. He covered the carpet on our stairs and hallways to avoid incidental damage to the property when removing our old bathroom. He is consistently clean and tidy in his work and ensured that everything was cleared away fully at the end of the job. Steve has installed a beautiful family bathroom, finished to an excellent standard. I recommend Steve Askew Bathrooms without reservation.

Steve fitted two new bathrooms for us in 2018. There was a lot of complicated work involved including demolishing existing partitions and resizing one very large bathroom and one tiny toilet room into two good size bathrooms. Steve gave us a lot of confidence when he came over to survey/quote for the work. He does all the different trades himself (plastering, tiling, plumbing etc), so his expertise was incredibly valuable with our project. When it came to doing the work Steve did an amazing job, we were so impressed with his neat, tidy, professional way of working, he even stayed after work each night to Hoover up, leaving the work area immaculate! Lovely guy, very high standard of work. Recommend.

Steve fitted our ensuite bathroom a year ago, a we are delighted with the quality and aesthetics of the job. He has a lovely personality and fantastic communication skills, giving excellent ideas and advice. As well as plumbing, he has expertise in all areas, including plastering, tiling and flooring, completing the entire job himself. He is a perfectionist, with an eye for intricate detail. Steve is entirely reliable and trustworthy. We gave him keys and went off to work most days. Nothing is too much trouble - Steve kindly sorted out a few issues in our main bathroom and kitchen, whilst on the ensuite job. He also leaves the work space immaculate at all times. I can't recommend Steve highly enough!

Steve has done two bathrooms for us over the last couple of years including forming an en suite within a bedroom and refitting a new main bathroom. He does everything including flooring, tiling and plastering. He is organised and turns up when he says he will. His end price was as originally quoted. He is clean and tidy during the day and when he goes home. He is precise with his work-a real perfectionist. Highly recommend
