UPDATE: This company run by Joe and Derek McFadyen has now stopped trading. Be advised of their track record before considering future employment. This firm offered to supply a Heatrae Premier Elite boiler at a cost of £1200 (plus an additional £500 for labour), requesting the £1200 in advance for the boiler unit. After stupidly doing so, on the day of arrival, they intended to install a budget Kingspan version at c.£350, which I quite naturally rejected, and then by some miracle, a Heatrae Eco version was offered from the back of the van. At c.£750 this was the medium range version I had previously rejected given I needed a high-pressure water tap for my soon to be installed Porcelenosa bathroom (£12,000) and my top of the range IKEA kitchen (£6,500). Clearly, with this size of the investment, I was prepared to find the best solution - and on the advice of this firm - I ordered the best I could afford. After inviting The Bathroom Studio to return with the proper goods and complete the installation - and get paid the labour costs of £500 - my attempts at communication and an amicable settlement were met by non-response and silence. I have an electronic paper trail, text messages, and an online payment to prove my case yet these people have chosen to ignore me as if somehow I will go away. I have been left with no choice but to instigate a legal claim for the return of my money. One additional point - many of the photographs they use on their website aren't even their work but used by several plumbing firms throughout the globe. And yes, I can advise the software to use to prove that too! DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS!
