About Us
Welcome to our website, Thomas Connelly Plumbing and Heating. We are a family run firm established in 1977. We cover all aspects of plumbing and heating and are both Corgi and Gas Safe registered. We are based in Consett, County Durham but cover all of the North East of England.
We do a lot of contract work for local builders, estate agents, new home builders and housing associations as well as private work. Our firm takes great pride in its work and jobs are always carried out professionally and promptly in a clean and tidy manner.
Central heating installations, boiler repairs and replacements.
We are Baxi Accredited Installers of their central heating gas boilers. This means that whilst we are not tied to install their boilers, our heating engineers install service and repair Baxi boilers and can offer our customers advice on the best boiler and heating system for your needs and property. More importantly, we can offer you an extended warranty on Baxi high efficiency central heating boilers.
This is an addition to the standard warranties available from other central heating installation companies. Our heating installers work neatly and tidily and protect your property at all times. Once they have completed installing the boiler or central heating system, they will show you how to use and set the new controls that best suits you the customer. Vayerr1 StarI've had countless issues with plumbing and heating fitted by Thomas Connelly in a new property. They've sent out numerous plumbers, each one having a different opinion and disagreeing with the previous one.
They are amatures at best. Multiple times they came out and they made the issue worse and/or didn't know how to fix it and tried to blame someone else to avoid taking responsibility, despite the house builders clearly stating they've fitted it so they are responsible.
Communication is a joke. They never call when they say they will. Appointments disappear off their system. They say a part has been delivered then on the day of appointment they turn around and say they've just ordered it.
Due to their incompetence I've lost countless hours waiting for them to turn up (emergency callout) just for them to call or message few hours later saying they won't help.

G H1 StarThey’ve been servicing my heating system for 7 years and used to be great, but last couple of years they’ve gone downhill. Boiler was serviced by them recently and then we had a problem with the heating shortly after. Engineer who came that day said there was nothing wrong. Today the boiler has stopped working completely - we’re frozen. Connellys promised to send someone out before 3. Nobody came, nobody phoned - and they don’t answer their phones. Kyle Gowland1 StarAvoid this company at all costs, they installed a new boiler for me, had nothing but problems with it and then after 4 years when it finally failed completely they’re response to me was “well you must be one of the unlucky ones”
The boiler manufacturer came out and pointed out a whole lot of mistakes that were made when they installed my boiler which all contributed to it failing. Naturally they’re not interested and even tried to blame the walls of my house.
I’ve since used a professional firm to install me another new boiler and Thomas Connery ltd will never get business from me again or anyone else I can influence to go elsewhereFriday 16th October 2020
