Simon Maxwell1 StarOrdered a single scaffolding plank at 10:00am to finish up a job today (Friday 24/09/2021). Got the email, checked the local store opening times (07:30am - 5pm Mon-Fri). I got there at 12:02pm, drove up to the gate and waited to let an oncoming car out, and then right after the car left one of your staff just shut the gates right in front of me and walked away. He didn't come and say anything, just walked off. Then I noticed some small notices wrapped around the bars on the gate stating 'Closed at 12:00pm for a stock take'. It was 12:02pm.... I got on the phone to phone the branch and no answer. I tried again, left it to ring for 3 minutes or so and still no answer. I tried to find a customer services number, but like all companies these days that can't really give a hoot about good customer care, they have no number, only a web form.
This is absolutely disgusting. The ignorance of the guy that just shut the gate on me and walked off. The fact nobody is answering phones. The fact I can not directly speak with customer services. And especially the fact that the closure isn't shown on the website and that I wasn't notified. Absolutely disgusting customer service. How many other people has this happened to?
So now my jobs have all had to go back a day. I have lost on time and fuel. I will loose half a day where I have to finish off Friday's job on Monday. Who will compensate me for this?
I will never be purchasing again at Travis Perkins unless I am absolutely forced to. Terrible, terrible customer service and seems to employ a bunch of jobsworths.Friday 24th September 2021
