Came to look at our boiler ( turned out fan had gone). Sent inflated quote (£550) so we went elsewhere. Now have invoice for £90 for his visit - around 45 mins. Apparently costs more as we are not in Scunthorpe ( although ad says they serve North Lincolnshire). Won't be recommending. Rip off

Boiler call out. Not emergency. Fan was the problem. Didnt even pop a meter across motor, just assumed it was faulty and by chance it was. Text me a quote at £550 and when questioned not prepared to identify labour and parts costs. Got job done at half the price by qualified engineer and brand new OEM part. Then rip you off with call out fee of £75 for less than 45 mins of checks, 10 mins of that drinking tea. Apparently cost is hourly rate if you live outside Scunthorpe yet local Arrow advertisement says covers other areas. Found out that local rates in area are about £30 to £50 per hour. Only tell you rate at invoice. Will not use again so beware.
